Vodafone Idea has expanded its 5G network in eastern India and confirmed new deployments across West Bengal and neighbouring regions. The operator has launched 5G services in Malda, Haldia, and Berhampur, while Durgapur, Asansol, Habra-Ashoknagar, Burdwan, Kharagpur, Gangtok, and Darjeeling are expected to receive coverage by June. The rollout forms part of Vi’s broader plan to bring 5G services to 90 additional cities by May 2026, increasing its footprint across industrial hubs, commercial centres, and tourism-focused markets.
